In December 2011, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care launched WE CARE, a three year $7 million capital campaign.  This campaign will allow PPHPC to complete Phase 1 of a two-phase business and facilities plan.  It will enhance our service capacities while reducing operating costs and positioning the work of our organization for the future. 

We are pleased to announce that thanks to the generosity of many donors, the campaign was completed in just 15 months! 

Led by a dedicated Steering Committee, the WE CARE Capital Campaign will support facilities for all hospice and palliative care services, as well as business operations and Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation. 

We invite you to learn more about our strategies to enhance service capabilities and forward thinking solutions for end-of-life care, and some final stats from the WE CARE Capital Campaign. 

We've made great strides over the past two years!

  • Opened the Pikes Peak Hospice Unit at Penrose Hospital - July 2011
  • Purchased, renovated and moved into our new Headquarters at 2550 Tenderfoot Hill Street -- on time and within budget -- June 2012
  • Received approval to develop an inpatient care unit at Memorial Hospital-University of Colorado Health - January 2013
  • As of April 2013, PPHPC has paid $2,125,315 to reduce the bridge loan for our Headquarters. The outstanding balance is $874,685
  • In FY 2012, PPHPC realized $212,486 in facility-related cost savings (as compared to 2011) due to our new Headquarters. PPHPC estimates FY 2013 facility-related savings of $424,971. As of April 30, 2013, facility-related savings are $247,900.

 

These milestones will help ensure that our community continues to benefit from the high-quality end-of-life care they have come to expect from PPHPC.
