Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care celebrates nurses week with sweet treats at Mountain View Post Acute

Caramel apple nacho bar on wheels brings appreciation and community connection to local nurses and caregivers

Last Thursday, May 7, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care celebrated Nurses Week by bringing a fun and festive caramel apple nacho bar on wheels to the dedicated staff at Mountain View Post Acute.

The event featured fresh red and green apples, caramel sauce, and a variety of sweet toppings as the Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care team traveled to nurses stations throughout the facility offering treats and appreciation to hardworking nurses and caregivers.

Nurses Week is an important opportunity to recognize the compassion, dedication, and commitment healthcare professionals bring to their work every day. The caramel apple nacho bar was designed as a simple but meaningful way to thank the Mountain View Post Acute team for their continued partnership and collaboration in caring for patients and families in the Colorado Springs community.

Strong relationships between healthcare organizations play an important role in ensuring patients receive coordinated, compassionate care. Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care values its ongoing collaboration with Mountain View Post Acute and appreciates the work their staff members do to support individuals through every stage of care.

Throughout the event, nurses and staff members enjoyed customizing their apple treats while taking a few moments to connect, laugh, and celebrate together during a busy week dedicated to honoring healthcare professionals.

Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care remains committed to supporting healthcare partners across Colorado Springs and recognizing the nurses, caregivers, and clinical teams who make a lasting impact on the lives of patients and families every day.

Thank you to the entire team at Mountain View Post Acute for the warm welcome and for all you do for our community.
