Care and Support After the Loss of a Loved One

Grief shapes a new way of living after a loss.
We provide the space for healing those suffering from grief and loss.

Our grief support is built around a simple belief: Grief is normal and necessary. It is part of our human condition, and we must go through it in the wake of profound loss. Coping with the roller coaster of emotions and reactions can seem overwhelming at times. That’s why Pikes Peak Hospice offers a variety of support services for adults, teens and children to help explore, understand and express the grief that is unique to you.

You Are Not Alone

No one knows exactly what you’re feeling, and no one can make grief go away. It belongs to you alone. But that doesn’t mean you have to go through it alone. Each person’s experience of loss and their journey through grief is unique. Support from others dealing with loss and an experienced guide will help you walk through common themes and coping strategies that have helped others.

Everyone is welcome at our Center for Grief and Loss – whether you have been involved with hospice or not. If you’ve had a loss, we are here for you.

Grief Support Group FAQs

What can I expect during the group sessons?

All meetings are led by our Pikes Peak Hospice Bereavement Counselor. During each hospice bereavement support group session, participants learn tools to help them work through their grief, regain a sense of purpose, value, and joy.

How often do the groups meet?

Weekly, for two hours per session. Each group runs for six weeks.

Who can join a support group?

The grief support groups are open to the public and there is no cost to attend.

When can you start attending sessions?
