The well-being and safety of our clients, patients and staff remain our highest priority. Now that all Coloradans age 12 and over have access to safe and effective vaccines, we are updating our mask guidelines for staff, clients and patients.
Care facilities, and other patient and clinical settings: Clinicians and visitors must wear masks, even if they are fully vaccinated.
Counseling: Masks must be worn by grief/bereavement counseling clients unless both counselor and client are fully vaccinated and the client agrees to be unmasked.
Children, ages 2-12: Masks must be worn in all office settings, locations and meeting rooms. Children over 12 who are fully vaccinated do not need to wear masks in these settings.
Unvaccinated (or not yet fully vaccinated) staff and volunteers: Masks must be worn in all office settings, locations and meeting rooms.
Fully vaccinated staff and volunteers: Masks are not required in office settings, locations and meeting rooms.
U.S. Centers for Disease Control on Prevention definition of “fully vaccinated”:
- Two weeks after second dose in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
- Two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine
