Hospice is patient and family centered care delivered at home.
We provide relief from pain and symptoms, and collaborate with you and your family in developing your plan of care. You control your hospice care.
What is Hospice?
Hospice care provides medical treatment to comfort terminally ill patients. At the heart of this care is the belief that hospice is about living and that every moment in life is special. To ensure that outcome, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care provides a team of skilled professionals – experts in medicine, nursing, pain management, integrative therapies as well as psychological and spiritual support, to provide care that is customized to each individual’s needs and wishes. The patient’s loved ones receive support as well.
Where Does Hospice Take Place?
The vast majority of Americans say they want to spend their last chapter of life at home. You can receive hospice care wherever you call home — a private residence, an assisted living residence, a skilled nursing facility, or a memory care unit. Regardless of the setting, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care provides superior medical attention and compassionate support. An admissions nurse can advise you on what setting is best.
