Dr. Bahr is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He comes to Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care from UC Health, where he worked as a family medicine physician.
Dr. Bahr has spent much of his career in the Pikes Peak region, including residency training at St. Mary Corwin hospital in Pueblo, Colorado. He has practiced full-spectrum family medicine and urgent care medicine in Colorado Springs. In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Bahr taught medical students as adjunct faculty for the University of Colorado School of Medicine and has held several medical leadership roles.
Throughout his career, Dr. Bahr has consistently dedicated himself to helping the underserved. Prior to his medical career, he was a Peace Corps volunteer in Cape Verde West Africa, where he worked to improve water quality. As a physician, Dr. Bahr provided care in rural Anthony, New Mexico through the National Health Service Corps and volunteered at the Mission Medical Clinic in Colorado Springs.
In total, Dr. Bahr brings more than 20 years of experience as a physician to PPHPC and has been awarded the title of “Top Doc” by his peers in Style magazine in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.
In his role as Medical Director for PPHPC, Dr. Bahr will provide medical oversight and direction for hospice and palliative care patients.
