Hospice Care

What does hospice care include?
When medical treatments cannot offer a cure, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care provides specialized medical care and practical support for patients facing a terminal or life-limiting illness. Hospice care emphasizes comfort measures rather than cure-oriented therapies and interventions. It brings relief from pain and other symptoms, as well as emotional and spiritual support for both patients and their loved ones.
Our team provides expert medical care, with oversight by physicians and nurse practitioners. The team also includes nurses and certified nursing assistants, counselors, chaplains, pharmacists and volunteers -- all of whom specialize in end-of-life care. Plans for care are tailored to each patient's specific needs and wishes.
Additional benefits include:
- Medications related to the patient's hospice diagnosis
- Medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, commodes, etc.
- Medical supplies, such as bandages and catheters
- Comprehensive grief support for adults and children
