Camp Braveheart

A Day at the Zoo

A Special Day for Grieving Children

Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care’s Camp Braveheart — A Day at the Zoo is a meaningful experience designed to support children who are grieving the loss of a loved one. This special day combines a guided zoo tour, opportunities to visit and feed the animals, and gentle conversations about how animals experience loss and how we can care for them. Through creative arts and crafts and supportive activities, children are given a safe, nurturing space to express their feelings, build connections, and find comfort alongside others who understand their experience.
