About the Event

Join Rocky Mountain PBS’s Allies for Aging initiative for a special community event featuring a preview of Caregiving — the new documentary produced by Bradley Cooper — followed by a panel discussion with organizations and specialists serving caregivers across the Pikes Peak region. Hosted at the newly opened Colorado Springs Senior Center and co‑presented with Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care, this gathering centers the real experiences of caregiving and the practical resources available in our community.

Attendees will view curated clips from the film that illuminate the emotional, financial, and societal realities of caregiving. These scenes highlight themes such as caregiver burnout, navigating medical systems, the complexity of end‑of‑life decisions, and the universal truth that caregiving touches every life.

After the Screening

Following the screening, local experts, service providers, and resource specialists will lead a grounded, compassionate conversation about the supports available and statistics around caregivers in our region. Whether you are currently providing care, have cared for someone in the past, expect to in the future, or want to better understand this universal human experience, this event offers information, community connection, and affirmation that no one has to navigate caregiving alone.

This program is part of RMPBS’s Allies for Aging Initiative, made possible with generous support from Next50 Foundation and Bloom Foundation

Why This Conversation Matters

Caregiving affects everyone — those who have been caregivers, those who are caregivers now, those who will become caregivers, and those who will one day need care. As the documentary illustrates, caregiving is emotionally complex, often exhausting, sometimes isolating, and unquestionably essential. Our community’s network of support helps make this work more sustainable, and this event aims to make those pathways visible, understood, and easier to navigate.
