Butterflies in the Garden

Remembering Loved Ones

Each year, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care hosts “Butterflies in the Garden,” a live butterfly release in remembrance of those whom we love and have lost in the Colorado Springs community.

Each year, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care invites families, friends, and members of our community to gather for Butterflies in the Garden, a heartfelt memorial event honoring the lives of loved ones who have passed.

Held in the peaceful surroundings of Hillside Gardens, this special morning offers time for reflection, remembrance, and hope. The program includes the reading of loved ones' names, inspiring messages, and a live butterfly release—a beautiful symbol of love, remembrance, and the enduring connections we carry in our hearts.

Whether your loved one received hospice services through Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care or not, all are welcome to attend. Following the ceremony, guests are invited to spend time together, share memories, and find comfort in the support of others who understand the journey of grief.

The event is free and open to the public.

Stay tuned for information on our 2027 event!
