So many community connections, we had to combine them into one post

From senior living communities to educational events and celebrations of life, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care continues to strengthen connections throughout the Colorado Springs community

At Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care, community connection is at the heart of everything we do. Recently, we realized we’ve participated in so many meaningful events across the Colorado Springs area that we had to combine them into one post — and honestly, we think that says something special about the relationships we are fortunate to build throughout our community.

Last week, our team joined residents at StoneCreek of Flying Horse for their Wine Down Wednesday happy hour. We were proud to sponsor the event by bringing snacks, serving wine, and enjoying live music alongside residents and staff. Opportunities like these create moments of connection, joy, and companionship that mean so much to everyone involved.

We also attended a Senior Resource Council Dine and Develop event hosted by Aberdeen Ridge focused on protecting and advocating for older adults in our community. Collaboration with fellow community organizations helps strengthen support systems for seniors and families throughout the Pikes Peak region.
In celebration of Memorial Day, our team brought snow cones to residents and staff at Mountain View Post Acute, creating a fun and refreshing way to honor the holiday together and share smiles across the community.

Another especially meaningful moment was a Celebration of Life service for a beloved resident at Mountain View Post Acute. Our chaplain, Travis Clarke, led the ceremony while music therapist Olivia Colon provided beautiful guitar music. Residents and staff gathered together, shared stories, enjoyed refreshments, and honored a life that touched so many people. These moments of remembrance and connection are deeply important to the work we do every day.

Whether we are supporting educational events, celebrating holidays, sharing music and companionship, or honoring lives well lived, we are grateful to remain an active and connected part of the Colorado Springs community. These partnerships and moments of togetherness reflect the compassionate spirit that guides Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care in serving patients, families, and neighbors throughout the region.
