Remembering loved ones at Butterflies in the Garden

This past Saturday, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care welcomed families, friends, staff, volunteers, and members of the community to our annual Butterflies in the Garden memorial event at Hillside Gardens.

Each year, this special gathering offers an opportunity to pause, reflect, and celebrate the lives of those we have loved and lost. Through the reading of names, meaningful reflections, and the release of butterflies, families come together to remember cherished memories while finding strength in community.

The butterfly release serves as a beautiful symbol of love, remembrance, and hope. As the butterflies took flight, they carried with them the memories of those whose lives continue to inspire and shape us. For many families, this shared experience provides comfort and a reminder that they are not alone in their grief.

Following the ceremony, guests had the opportunity to spend time together, share stories, and connect with others who understand the journey of loss. These moments of connection are an important part of healing and reflect the compassionate support that extends beyond hospice care.

At Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care, we believe our care continues long after a loved one's passing. Through grief support services and annual remembrance events like Butterflies in the Garden, we remain committed to supporting individuals and families as they navigate loss with compassion and hope.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's event and helped make it such a meaningful morning.
