A welcome visit from nature
We had some special visitors outside our Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care Inpatient Care Center yesterday.
For a little while, these beautiful animals captured the attention of everyone who happened to see them. Staff, patients and families alike had an opportunity to pause, take a breath and enjoy a well-deserved nature break.
At the Inpatient Care Center, our days are centered on providing comfort, compassion and support to patients and their families. Sometimes, though, a little comfort arrives in an unexpected way.
A peaceful moment watching wildlife just outside the window. A chance to step outdoors and enjoy the fresh air. A shared smile between a family member and a member of our care team.
These simple moments matter.
