Celebrating love and remembrance at Día de Muertos

Pikes Peak Hospice is honored to sponsor the Community Ofrenda at this year’s Día de Muertos celebration, taking place November 1–2 at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College.

Día de Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a meaningful tradition that celebrates the lives and memories of loved ones who have passed away. It is a time to honor those we miss, share stories, and recognize the lasting connections that remain in our hearts.

The two-day celebration at the Fine Arts Center is free and open to everyone and offers a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together in remembrance and celebration. Guests can enjoy live music and dancing, delicious food, a mercado, and hands-on art activities for all ages.

Add Your Loved One to the Community Ofrenda

As part of the celebration, visitors are invited to bring a photo of a loved one who has passed away and place it on the Community Ofrenda. If you have a digital photo but no printed copy, a printer will be available at the event to help you create one.

An ofrenda is a special place of remembrance, filled with photographs and meaningful items that help honor and celebrate those who have died. By adding a photo, you can help create a shared space that reflects the love, memories, and stories that connect us as a community.

At Pikes Peak Hospice, we understand the importance of remembering and honoring those we have lost. Grief and remembrance are deeply personal experiences, and opportunities to gather with others can provide meaningful moments of connection and reflection.

We are proud to support an event that celebrates life, honors memory, and brings our community together.

Join us November 1–2 at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College for Día de Muertos. Bring a photo, bring your memories, and come celebrate the people who continue to be part of our lives.

We hope to see you there!
