Honoring retired service members at Fort Carson
On Saturday, October 17, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care was honored to participate in Retired Military Appreciation Day at Fort Carson, joining organizations from across the community to recognize retired service members and their families.
The event provided an opportunity to come together, express our gratitude and connect retired service members with organizations and resources available to support them.
Connecting Veterans with care and support
Throughout the event, our team shared information about the services available through Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care, including hospice care, palliative care, grief support and our Veteran programs.
Events like Retired Military Appreciation Day are an important way to make sure Veterans and their families know that support is available when they need it.
Whether someone is navigating a serious illness, considering hospice or palliative care, or coping with the loss of a loved one, having access to compassionate resources can make a meaningful difference.
Our Veteran programs also provide opportunities to recognize and honor the service and sacrifice of those who have served our country.
A community coming together
One of the most meaningful aspects of the event was seeing so many organizations come together with a shared purpose: supporting and honoring those who have served.
For retired service members and their families, navigating available resources can sometimes feel overwhelming. Community events like this create opportunities for people to ask questions, make connections and discover services that may be helpful now or in the future.
At Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care, we are proud to be part of that community network. Our commitment to Veterans extends beyond the care we provide—we want to be a trusted resource for Veterans and their families throughout their journey.
Thank you for your service
We are grateful to everyone who attended Retired Military Appreciation Day and, most importantly, to the retired service members and their families who have given so much in service to our nation.
It was a privilege to be part of an event dedicated to connection, appreciation and support.
To all who have served: thank you for your service and sacrifice. We are honored to serve you and your families and grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful community event.
