FAQs For Our Community

Voices of Grief Support and Education Center is transitioning its grief support services to Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care. Beginning in April 2026, Voices of Grief will become a program of Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care’s Center for Grief and Loss. This transition ensures these important community programs remain available and sustainable for years to come.
The program will be called Voices of Grief, a program of Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care.
This transition allows the important work of Voices of Grief to continue within a larger nonprofit organization that already provides extensive grief and bereavement services. By bringing Voices of Grief into Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care, the community will continue to have access to compassionate grief support along with expanded resources and long-term sustainability.
Voices of Grief programs are open to anyone in the community experiencing loss, not only those connected to a hospice experience.

These programs are facilitated by trained facilitators and guided by Dr. Alan Wolfelt’s Companioning Model, which recognizes grief as a natural response to love and emphasizes presence, listening, and honoring each person’s unique experience of loss.
Participants will continue to have access to Voices of Grief programming. Additional information will be shared with participants.
This transition helps ensure that a wide variety of grief support services remain sustainable, accessible, and supported by the broader resources and mission of Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care.
Voices of Grief programming will continue in familiar community settings where participants have previously gathered. Some programs may also take place at Pikes Peak Hospice headquarters at 2550 Tenderfoot Hill St. Updated schedules and locations will be shared with the community as the transition moves forward.
Yes. Voices of Grief programs are sustained primarily through grants, sponsorships, and individual donations. Now under the umbrella of Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care, philanthropic support will remain essential to continue offering these services to the community.
