Donald Stern

Date Honored: June 2021

Our Dad, Donald Stern, was special because he was a very honest, quiet, unassuming, hard-working man who lived his life as a man who could be trusted with anything.   He loved our Mom and us with all of his heart and set a wonderful example of how to treat others and how we should be treated.

He always made sure that we were well-taken care of.  He impressed upon us the necessity of working hard.  He saw the good in us, even when we tested his parameters!   He was fun and funny and was always interested in what others had to share.

He and Mom traveled the US in their motor home and made life-long friends along the way.  He loved to build and remodel homes. His building skills can be seen in many places in Colorado, Minnesota and beyond.

He was a WWII veteran and so proud of his service. He was fortunate to have the opportunity to be part of the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. That was a real highlight for him.

We love and miss you so much, Dad.
