Richard “Ric” Helstrom

Ric was known for being caring, compassionate, and always having a genuine smile on his face and a kind word to share. An artist, photographer and animal lover, he was a beloved pillar of the many communities he touched. He was known for his work as a commercial photographer, graphic designer, his work with Bear Creek Dog Park, and his love for playing pickleball. He took great joy in traveling, both abroad and domestically, with a particular love for R-Pod camping here in the States. He loved sci-fi, dating way back to the first Doctor Who and his love of westerns. An appreciative epicure, Ric made a great pot of chili and would never turn down a piece of german chocolate cake. He was incredibly supportive of all of the local artists and you couldn’t go anywhere without him knowing someone.
